Statoil won all ES blocks

Statoil won all the available blocks in the Espírito Santo Basin in the first auction for oil and gas rights in five years in Brazil. In all, rights to 142 of the 289 blocks on offer, were sold, and the auction raised a record 2.82 billion reais. OGX and Total stand out among winning bidders. “We are very pleased with the outcome, and won the blocks we had on top of our priority list”, says Thore E. Kristiansen, president of Statoil do Brasil.
